Scholarship Opportunities

Southcentral Alaska AEYC is proud to provide two scholarship opportunities to support early childhood educators in Alaska. SCAAEYC has given more than $50,000 to early educators in Alaska since 1972!

The Ms Lare’ Early Childhood Education Scholarship is an annual award for any SCAAEYC/NAEYC member who is working towards a degree or certificate in Early Childhood in the State of Alaska.

The Jan Porterfield Memorial Scholarship is awarded to early childhood educators attending training conference or workshops to further their knowledge and grow their capacities to support Alaska’s children. This scholarship has been awarded by SCAAEYC since 2008.
